Magic /Chapter 3/

Hi..' I heard a quiet voice from behind me and it was dangerously familiar. Slap yourself girl, who else could it be? I was actually afraid to turn around, knowing very well who was standing there. 'Hello, welcome. We are so happy you agreed to this.' Jason was excited like a 17 year old boy getting a new car for his birthday.

'Yeah, no problem, it is my pleasure.' I didn't even have to see him to know he was smiling, what the hell was wrong with me and these stupidly awkward thoughts? Get a grip. And just as I turned around and our eyes met, Jason decided to introduce us, oh how nice of him. 'This is my music genius, Martha.' Jason grinned at me like a proud father as I stepped closer and took Nick's extended hand in mine. He squeezed it, gently, but somehow possessively as I could see a playful smirk crossed his lips. 'When you said soon, I didn't think it was going to be /that/ soon.' I shrugged, my own lips trying to mask my smile, every attempt not to let him get to me absolutely failed. Where did that even come from? 'Are you complaining?' I glared at him, trying to seem somehow hurt, but hell...he was irresis...no, don't even go there. 'I wouldn't dare.' He laughed and so did I, Jason was staring at us with wide eyes and expression saying HOW THE HELL DO YOU KNOW EACH OTHER? I suddenly realized my hand was still in Nick's. 'Ehm...are you ready then?' Jason asked, scratching the back of his head as if he was interrupting some sort of a moment between us. Huh? What moment anyway? 'Yes, of course.' Nick politely smiled and Jason dragged him away, sat him down on the chair, set up his microphone, gave me instructions what to play and when and we were all set, not like I was the producer here supposed to set this all up, right. I had to admit I was really enjoying this, listening to him talk about his life. His music and acting with so much passion, his fans with so much pride you didn't see very often, his family with so much love. He seemed perfect, almost too perfect. I leaned back against my chair as he stood up to join his band, holding his guitar as he nodded and the music started. 'I call it magic...' He sang and our eyes met, his voice was like a lullaby that instatnly calms you and brings you peace...'I call it magic when I am with you...' It seemed unreal this wasn't his own song, because it was obvious he felt every word that left his mouth, his fingers were brushing the strings back and forth, so smoothly, mixing it with his perfect voice, it was the kind of performance that took your breath away and all you could do was sit there, stare and listen. 'No, I don't, It's true, I don't, no, I don't, no, I don't, no, I don't want anybody else but you...' I finally exhaled as he sang the last words of the song and the studio was filled with a loud applause. It all seemed to end so quick as I was suddenly standing beside Jason as they were shaking hands and saying thank yous and agreeing to next times. I was glad when Jason decided to excuse himself the moment Nick turned to me. 'Thank you for doing this. It meant the world to him.' I laughed, nodding towards my still over excited boss. 'I can see that.' He smiled, sliding his hand into the back pocket of his jeans before handing me two tickets. 'Come to my show next week.' It wasn't even a question nor a suggestion, because he was so sure I was going to say yes. Arrogant, isn't he? 'See you around, genius.' Unbelievable, he didn't even wait for my answer, he didn't even give me a chance to as I could only say. 'Soon, rockstar.' And then I only caught his smile as he walked out of the door.
